San Cayetano was established in 1910 by Tulio Ospina Vasquez, who was a pioneer becoming the first person to bring coffee into Antioquia. San Cayetano since then has become the leader in developing and updating technology for coffee production. San Cayetano offers a premium class of “estate coffees” (one and only one plantation sourcing of the beans) that employs up­-to-­date and environmentally sound methods of planting, irrigating and cultivating the land to produce quality beans for exporting. All the beans are hand­picked for consistency and ripeness, processed and dried to the green stage using state­ of­ the art production methodology. Roasting is done in a highly controlled quality environment to specific standards which achieve the rich and flavorful finished product.
