From Fettle Botanic Bend’s Facebook Page: “Join Dr. Ashley Rieger for our monthly Plant Spirit Meditation at Fettle Botanic. Plant communication strengthens our connection to herbal medicine and opens us to their energetics and messages. In this class we will taste, smell, and explore an unidentified medicinal plant. After a guided meditation participants will share their experiences with the herb before learning about its medicinal and energetic properties along with traditional folklore.  Dr. Ashley is a board certified naturopathic doctor, who has a passion for herbs and herbal medicine. She recently graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, Oregon and feels honored to call Bend home now. She loves all things plants- from identifying them, growing them to educating others on how to recognize and use them in their daily lives. She will be licensed to practice medicine in August and currently works on Wednesdays at Fettle here in Bend. Ashley has studied with many herbalists in Colorado, Ohio, and Oregon. Prior to Naturopathic medical school, she made herbal products for an apothecary in Colorado and completed a 2 month-long native medicinal internship with the United Plant Savers at their headquarters in Rutland, Ohio.”
