Brookswood Meadow Plaza Announces Opening of New Community Office – Open House Scheduled for Saturday, March 5, 2011 from 12:00 – 4:00pm

BEND, OR – Brookswood Meadow Plaza in Southwest Bend recently announced the opening of its new Community Office located in the Plaza at 19570 Amber Meadow Drive, in Suite 160, and is inviting residents of surrounding neighborhoods to an open house this Saturday, March 5th from 12:00 to 4:00 pm.

“The Health Fair hosted by C.E. Lovejoy’s Brookswood Market on Saturday has given us a great opportunity to allow folks a chance to see the new Plaza office,” said Cricket Kadoch, who currently works out of the office on community outreach as part of the Plaza’s efforts to revitalize its image following controversy that arose when Bend’s DMV office was slated to, but will no longer move there. “We encourage people to stop by on their way to or from the Health Fair and provide their feedback about the types of businesses and activities they would like to see filling the remaining spaces in the Plaza.”

In addition to a reception area which serves as an information center with brochures from the businesses currently located in the Plaza (including the Market, Snap Fitness, The River Rim Coffeehouse, and Toddles Preschool), the Community Office houses a conference room available for use by organizations, groups and local neighborhood associations at no charge, and an office donated to the Deschutes County Sheriffs for use as a substation. The architectural plan drawings of the Plaza are also available for review by potential new tenants.

“We have always envisioned Brookswood Meadow Plaza as a place close to home where residents can shop, dine and conduct business without having to travel downtown or across busy Highway 97,” said Travis Lovejoy of Lovejoy Properties. “As part of our ongoing commitment for it to serve the community as a hub of local business and event activity, we’re working to create a unique identity for the Plaza which will soon include a website and Facebook page where neighbors can go to find out about social events, new businesses and other local activities.”

Brookswood Meadow Plaza is Bend’s newest, uniquely-local shopping and dining destination, offering prime retail, office and restaurant space. The Plaza provides over 15,000 Southwest Bend and Deschutes River Woods homes with a convenient center for business, events, and community, anchored by CE Lovejoy’s Brookswood Market. Located on Brookswood Boulevard just south of Elk Meadow Elementary School and one mile north of Baker Road at the corner of Amber Meadow Drive, this neighborhood hub will soon be at the base of Bend Area Transit’s Route 2 extension service.
